Baked Beans.

1/2 Cup of water.

2 Garlic cloves.

2 Tsp olive oil.

2 Can of baked beans (can use beans with pork or beacon).

1/2 Tsp of salt.

1 Small can of tomato sauce.

2 Cups of any sheared cheese.

Preheat oven at 250 F. Pour on the blender or chopper 2 cans of baked beans, garlic cloves, olive oil and tomato sauce. Add salt and water to taste. The amount of water depends on the texture we want to get. Blend mixture approximately 10 minutes of medium speed. Allow mixture to rest for 5 minutes, then with a wooden spoon slightly mix. Pour the mixture on a oven resistant bowl. Put on top of the mixture 2 cup of sheared cheese. Spread evenly. Introduce mixture on the oven until cheese is all melted and/or crunchy. Serve better with baguette bread or gourmet crackers. Serve and Enjoy.

I really like his recipe, I made this for the first time for my friend birthday and everybody loves it. It is very easy and not expensive at all. The ingredients that I used for this recipe are products that I have at home most of the time, so is not that I have to run to get all the ingredients. And if you do not have them all, there are so many other ingredients we can use, but definitely with the same idea. You can use this recipe not only when you have people for dinner, but also during the day maybe for a football game when all the guys are hungry!!

Tomato Salmon.

1 Can diced tomatoes.

1 Tsp lime juice.

1 Tsp cilantro.

1/2 Cup mayonnaise.

1 Pound salmon on small pieces.

Sal and Pepper to taste.

Preheat saucepan for 2 or 3 minutes in medium high. On a separate bowl put canned tomatoes and mayonnaise until they are equally blended. Rinse salmon fillets on paper towel for 5 minutes. Using tongs insert salmon to tomato mixture and turn to coat both sides. Add salt and pepper to taste. Place salmon and tomato mixture into pan. Cover and cook over 6-8 minutes. The cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of the fillets. Serve with herb. Allow to be room temperature and serve with small pieces of baguette bread or gourmet crackers. Pour the remaining tomato sauce on a separate bowl aside of the dish. Serve and Enjoy.

This recipe I will recommend to do it when you have important guest at home like your parents in law!. I did this recipe one time for them and their first commend was "where did you learn this, is awesome". The truth is I learn it from my dad who is a chef. You can definitely do this in a larger scale with rice or some vegetables. But honestly it does not matter if it is as an appetizers or full meal you would be looking good in front of your guest. This is for a more glamorous night!!

Pumpkin Brie.

1 Can pumpkim mix.

1 Wheel of Brie cheese.

1 Pack of puff pastry.

1 Tsp cinnamon.

1 Tsp nutmeg.

1/4 Cup melted butter.
Heat oven 350 F.

Mix canned pumpkin with cinnamon and nutmeg until blended. Place mixture into fridge to cool. Take the wheel of Brie and cut thru the center dividing the top circle from the bottom circle. Spread spiced pumpkin mixture into the bottom half of the brie wheel and place the top half of the brie wheel covering the pumpkin mix. Unwrap the puff pastry and carefully flatten it out. Brush the pastry lightly with melted butter to coat. Place the stuffed pumpkin brie wheel into the center of the puff pastry. Pull up the edges of the puff pastry and wrap the wheel. Brush the outside of the pastry with the melted butter and bake in the oven 10 minutes or until brown. Allow to cool and serve with gourmet crackers.

This is my favorite!!! I do this almost every other weekend... Well this recipe is very simple and also is not expensive at all. It does not have to be Halloween or Thanksgiving to use pumpkin. It is very taste and has an amazing flavor. This appetizer is good with a glass of white wine. I always do this recipe when I am going to have my girlfriends home for a little get together. They love it. Also it is good to combine it with red seedless grapes.

Blue Cheese Covered Grapes.

1 Bunch of medium red seedless grapes.

1 Cup blue cheese.

1 Cup cream cheese.

1 Can mixed nuts.

Toothpicks.

Blend blue cheese and cream cheese with a wooden spoon leaving mixture slightly lumpy. Rinse grapes and dry with paper towel. Remove grapes from stem and insert toothpicks into each grape. Dip the grapes into the cheese mixture until covered with a thick coating. Put the mixed nuts into a plastic zip bag and using a maillot or heavy object crumble into small pieces. Place crumbled nuts into shallow dish and dip the grapes until they are fully covered. Put the covered grapes into the fridge for 15 minutes to allow the cheese mixture and nuts to set. Serve and Enjoy.

I think this is the easiest recipe. It will take probably 20 minutes to be ready to eat. I believe this is a gourmet recipe. I learn to do this while I was passing by a catering company. They have a showroom and from time to time they teach others how to do small, simple recipes like this. I added my personal touch, but over all the taste is amazing.

Welcome !!!

I want to welcome all of those who like to have small get together at home. I decided to create this blog because I really enjoy entertaining people and make them feel welcome. I usually do these recipes when I know I'm going to have a crow of 5 or 6 people. Instead of expending huge amounts of money and hours in the kitchen cooking I prefer just to take 15 to 20 minutes of my time to prepared a small appetizer for my guests. Also, another recommendation I want to give to my readers is that presentation is VERY IMPORTANT no matter how easy or difficult the recipe is, presentation is what is going to give you recognition amount your guest. We are very visual; if something looks good we are going to eat it. Just think and imagine eating your favorite dish, first you are going to get hungry and then you are going to wish you can have now. I hope you guys like it and looking forward to read comments. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
